Project 1 - Proposal
Instructions
7/1/2019 (Week 1)
On our first day of class, our module lecturers introduced us to our module and also briefed us through our module outline and also their expectations for us. Our main theme throughout our whole module is "Living with Nature" and we need to be divided to a group of 3 for all our projects. I grouped up with Alicia and Hui Chi.
8/1/2019 - 11/1/2019 (Week 1)
Our first project is to come out with a proposal on what are our ideas and also how are we going to execute it before going to our trip to Korea. For our proposal, we need to come up with a 200 word proposal about our definition of living with nature and also our ideas regarding on how are we going to apply it on our final project.
For the next few days, me and my group mates shared our findings, ideas and also ways to execute our final project. After that, we compiled all our ideas into a slide so that we can let our lecturers know about our rough ideas. We listed down our perspectives about the Korean culture and also our definition of what living with nature means.
11/1/2019 (Week 1)
During this class, we get to share our ideas with Mr Charles and Ms Jinchi and also got a consultation session with them. Due to some misunderstanding, Ms Jinchi explained to us again on what we should focus on for our proposal.
She told us that we should start our proposal by focusing our theme which is living with nature. She said we should know what is our own definition of living with nature and also our interpretation of it. Instead of focusing on ideas, we should focus on the theme because that is the foundation for the proposal.
Here is our PDF file for our rough proposal:
After going through our first rough project proposal, Ms Jinchi asked us to come out with an interpretation for the theme "living with nature". She asked us to put our ideas aside and then focus on the definition before summarizing everything.
12/1/2019 (Week 1)
We summarized our proposal and also our interpretation for living with nature. For our proposal and findings, we decided to mainly focus on texture and colors. We focused on Obangsaek (Korean Traditional Colors) and also the patterns on the Hanbok, which is the traditional clothing in Korea. Besides that, our definition of living with nature is to have a mutual relationship between human and nature. We also summarized all our 5 preliminary ideas, problem questions and also objectives.
18/1/2019 (Week 2)
It's presentation day today for our final proposal.
Here is my slides for my final proposal:
Feedback: Mr Charles and Ms Jinchi said that our ideas and also our interpretation for living with nature are good and also clear. They also told us to proceed with our 5 preliminary ideas and also add in more ideas if we have any in the future. They also suggested us to combine some ideas together because some of them are similar.
