4/2/2019 - 8/2/2019 (Week 5)

After presenting our data collection, me and my group mates then proceeded to come out with some ideas and also come up with some ideas for our final product. We brainstormed the ideas that we had in our mind and then we made a slide so that we can share our ideas with each other.

After some discussions, we decided to either go with a set of playing cards, pamphlet or to design something that can be applied to various medium such as notebooks and bookmarks.

Here's our visual reference for all our idea developments:

After completing our idea developments, we then have some consultation session with our lecturers so that they roughly know our overall ideas and plans for the final product.

FEEDBACK: Mr Charles liked our overall idea but he find our playing cards concept idea very interesting so he suggested some ideas for it. He suggested us to make it as a tea game with some tea at the side instead of just a card game. The main purpose of it is to have a stronger bond within each other from playing the tea game and also to drink tea at the same time.

11/2/2019 - 22/2/2019 (Week 6 - Week 7)

After getting the feedback that we need, we then list down our ideas and also to think of a game concept for our tea game. At last, we decided to create the tea game based on the Obangsaek theory (a Korean traditional color theory) because we wanted to incorporate the culture into the game.

To serve the tea, we also decided to put the tea game and also the tea bag into a box. For the box, we decided design the exterior with the Bojagi style (Korean traditional cloth).

We started off by having a concept for our tea game before going into the box design.

After coming up with the concepts, then we designed the playing cards.

Since we are going to design the game based on the Obangsaek theory, we designed the symbol as well so that it represents the Obangsaek.

Here's our final card design together with the mock up cards that we created to test the game out.

After having our tea game concept and also the symbol designs, we then designed our box according to the Bojagi concept. To start off, we created a color scheme so that we know what color to include in our design.

After that, we then measured the box and also measured our design so that it fits the box.

22/2/2019 (Week 7)

It's presentation day and we made tea alongside with our tea card game.
