Final Project - FastJob
Instruction
For the final project, I teamed up with 3 of my other classmates that have the similar video ideas that we proposed for our first project which is to propose a PSA video idea.
After discussing with our lecturer, Mr Martin with all our planning and also the preparations. He suggested us to shoot everything in one day because we have only one location to begin with. He also wanted us to shoot from 9 PM onwards because there will be lesser can after that period.
Production Phase
Shooting Day 1
It's shooting day today and all of us arrived at the scene at around 8:30 PM to set up the equipment that are required for our shoot. Here are some behind the scene photos that we took during our shooting day.
After around 6 hours of continuous shooting that night, we finally wrapped up our shooting at around 3:30 AM late midnight, It was a tiring night but in my opinion, it was worth it because we were able to wrap up everything in a night.
Post Production Phase
12/12/2018 (Week 16)
After the shoot, we then move on to the post production of our final project which is to separate the footage into different scenes and also to look into the videos that we took. We also need to balance up the volume of the audio and also the ambience sound.
After discussing with Mr Martin, he asked us to compile everything together and make it a rough cut so that we can show it to him before editing it. This is because he can help us to shorten the video and also to make the overall video tighter and straight to the point. For the editing part, Nadia is in charge of the audio part and Kitty is in charge of the color correction. We then proceeded to do some editing and also to compile the rough cut.
Feedback: Mr Martin said our overall rough cut is not bad because our rough cut is only 1 minute long which meets the video requirements already. He helped us to tighten the video to around 40 seconds and he also asked us find Mr Razif for the sound editing part.
Feedback: Mr Razif said that some part of our video's volume is a little to loud every time when we cut to another camera angle. He said that since the whole video is shot at one location, he said our overall ambience sound should be the same because everything happened at one location. He also asked us to add special effect at some crucial scenes to emphasize the specific scenes. We should also add some horror special effect to the video so that the overall video feels scary.
After receiving the feedback from Mr Razif, we then proceed to find some horror background sound that suits the video because for our theme, the sound part is important as it brings up the mood.
After the sound editing part, we then proceed to do some color adjustment for the video so that it suits the theme better.

Pre-Production Phase
16/11/2018 (Week 12)
For this week, all of the groups are planning the days that they are going to shoot on and my group planned to shoot on Week 13. After planning our shooting date, we then proceed to allocate each member according to the job scope given,

For location wise, we decided to shoot at the Taylor's Underground Staff Parking because it suits our video idea very well.
23/11/2018 (Week 13)
For this week, we continued to prepare the props and also to find our actress and also our actor for the video. Since our video idea is very straight forward, we don't need a lot of props and we also only have one location to film on so we don't need to request for permission to shoot at the location we chose.
We made a set of slide containing everything we need to prepare for our final video including the requirements, mood board, props and also the story outline.

After the shoot, our director, Isaac decided to add another very short scene at the end of the video so we planned to shoot for another day but this time, our location is only at the photography studio.

Day 2 of shooting but today it's a very easy and simple shot so it only takes us around an hour to shoot. Today's shoot is only 1 scene so it was short and simple.
